Cedar Park, TX: Economic Development Projects to Improve Quality of Life

Cedar Park, TX is making strides to improve the local infrastructure and create new opportunities for businesses and residents alike. City Manager Steve Huerta has reported that several road construction projects are being carried out this summer to expand, renew, and repair local roads. This is especially beneficial as traffic has been reduced due to the pandemic, allowing for more efficient planning and construction. The Bell Boulevard road realignment project has been completed in Cedar Park.

This main corridor from north to south of the city was not experiencing the same level of economic growth as other areas, so this project was essential in order to create more opportunities for businesses and residents. The City of Cedar Park has also started its Lakeline Boulevard rehabilitation project. This project is intended to improve the infrastructure of the area and make it more attractive to businesses and residents. The Bell District is a public-private partnership between the City of Cedar Park and lead developer RedLeaf. This project includes 150,000 additional retail and restaurant spaces, such as In-N-Out Burger, BJ's Restaurant and Brewery, Chipotle Grill, Zoe's Kitchen, Jersey Mike's, and At Home.

The main driver of this project is Costco, which will be a major anchor in the Cedar Park Town Center. These projects are all part of Cedar Park's effort to create a vibrant economy and improve the quality of life for its citizens. With these projects underway, Cedar Park is sure to become an even more attractive place to live and work.
